After a lengthy off season, Sunline Speedway is set to hold its Opening Night meeting on Saturday 18th February. Headlining the meeting will be Round 12 of the 360 Australian Sprintcar Allstars. Currently over 20 cars are set to roar around the tight venue in what will be the biggest field ever seen at Sunline. Ahead of Opening Night on the 18th February, we will be having 2 working bee weekends to help get the venue ready.
Feb 4th/5th and Feb 11th/12th, it will be all hands on deck with plenty of tasks that need to be completed. Even if you can only spare an hour or 2, it would be much appreciated.

As we start looking towards opening night in February, Sunline Speedway will be holding a practise day this Sunday, 15th January. This will be from 10am to 4pm and $20 per car. At least 10 cars are needed to attend for this practise day to go ahead. For all those wanting to have a run, please get in contact with Wacka and Jen directly (0412 474 289) so they know who will be attending.

Due to only receiving one expression of interest, today's planned practice day has been cancelled.

Speedway fans, please note that there has been a change to the Calendar for the upcoming season.
The March long weekend date has now changed from Saturday the 11th to the Sunday the 12th, and Riverland Speedway will now be running on the Saturday night.
All classes planned to run on the night will remain unchanged.

Sunline Speedway fans are in for an action packed 2016/17 season with the announcement of the 5 meetings for next season. Fans were treated to a big day/night of action at the final meeting for 2015/16 at Sunline Speedway on Sunday. Racing commenced slightly behind schedule and finished under lights as the clock neared 8 p.m.

Sunline Speedway says goodbye to Season 2015/16 on the traditional June long weekend day meeting with over 70 cars currently nominated.
The blue ribbon event on the program is the Steve Butcher Memorial for Street Stocks. All eyes will be one Rhys Heinrich to see if he can claim an incredible 5 Titles in a row. Its going to be a massive 2016/17 season at Sunline Speedway with 2 State Titles to be held at the venue. Previously announced was the SA AMCA Title, locked in for 22nd April. Today we can confirm that the 18th Feb will be the SA Street Stock Title.

After Michael Miller dropped the 10 lap Super Sedan Track Record by 20 seconds at our last meeting, quite a few people have asked where this (and other records) stack up against the old records before the track was reconfigured before the start of the 2014/15 season. Sunline Speedway held its last night meeting of the season on Saturday for the 2015/16 season and with over 60 cars in attendance, proved to be a great night at the skids.
The final round of the J. D. Couriers Super Series, sponsored by Scotcher Race Fuels and Oils, for Super Sedans was a highlight of the night and failed to disappoint. After kicking off way back in October at the Murray Bridge Speedway the 2015/16 JD Couriers Super Series will finish this weekend with the running of the Grand Finale (Round 16) at the Sunline Speedway at Waikerie. Saturday night will be the final time Sunline Speedway races under lights (we still have a day meeting in June) for the 2015/16 season with a big program on offer.

History was created at Sunline Speedway on Saturday night with Cory Hodgson claiming the inaugural South Australian Modlite Title, proudly sponsored by United Speedway Association. 6 heat races were conducted through the night with drivers trying to score enough points to be able to start the 20 lap main event from the front. Saturday night sees history being made with the inaugural South Australian Modlite Title, proudly sponsored by United Speedway Association at Sunline Speedway. The venue feels honoured to host this event after helping establish the class over the last couple of years. Sunline Speedway held its second meeting of the 2015/16 season on Saturday night with 47 cars nominated. Whilst the car count was down, all classes put on great racing for the crowd that was in attendance.

Whilst the 2015/16 season took some time to get going, the next meeting is already upon us at the Sunline Speedway. Racing will take place on the Saturday night of the long weekend with the Renmark Speedway holding a meeting on the Sunday night.
