Saturday night will be the final time Sunline Speedway races under lights (we still have a day meeting in June) for the 2015/16 season with a big program on offer.
Junior Sedans will be racing in Round 4 of the Robert Gwynne Memorial Track Championship with Heath Thorne holding a small lead over his brother Nathan whilst Lachlan and Josh Gwynne are not far behind.
Super Sedan will have their final round of the J. D. Couriers Super Series, sponsored by Scotcher Race Fuels and Oils. To keep the racing tight every meet, the points have been hidden from the competitors and will only be announced at a presentation dinner on the 2nd of July. Look for the likes of Blenkiron, Miller and Alexander to be towards the front and also Jason Gantz making his debut in the class, racing the Daniel Obst machine.
The AMCA Spectacular, sponsored by Jack Daniels, has pulled a large field including several Victorians who have made the trip across the border. Also on the program are the Modlites, Street Stocks, Wingless Sprints and some classic Hot Rods.
Please note the earlier times with gates opening at 3pm with racing from 5pm. Adult tickets are just $20 with concessions $15. Family tickets are $45 whilst kids get in for only $5. For further information on this and all other things happening at the venue, keep up to date on the Sunline Speedway website and Facebook page. For those wanting to contact the promoters directly, please call Rob Stevens on 0412 474 289.
