Sunline Speedway played host to 2 South Australian Titles on Saturday night, with the Junior Sedans and 360 Sprintcars chasing that elusive SA #1. A large crowd was on hand to witness some great racing despite a small rain delay soon after commencing racing for the evening.

Sunline Speedway will kick of the 2018/19 season with a huge night of racing with 2 South Australian Titles up for grabs with Junior Sedans and the 360 Sprintcars chasing that elusive SA #1.
The stars of the future in the Junior Sedans will also be chasing points in Round 1 for their Track Championship, whilst the 360 Sprintcars will be holding Round 4 of their Australian All Stars Series.

A reminder to drivers that nominations for the SA Junior Sedan Title have CLOSED. However, late nominations can be accepted as per late entry conditions on the nomination form. A link to the nomination form is on the Sunline Speedway website Calendar page

The 2017/18 speedway season concluded at the Sunline Speedway with the traditional day meeting finishing under lights. There was a almost 2 hour delay at the start of the Feature races when Junior Sedan driver Drew Flatman made heavy impact with the pit gate, the force breaking the hinges and requiring it to be welded shut for the remainder of the meeting. Testament to the strength of modern race cars, Flatman was checked over by medical staff and given the all clear.

It’s set to be a big send off to the 2017/18 season at the Sunline Speedway on Sunday 10th June with 6 classes and over 60 drivers currently nominated.
Street Stocks have the biggest field with drivers aiming to add their name to the Steve Butcher Memorial honour roll. What a cracker of a finale we have created with the Tough-As Products Grand Championship of Sunline Speedway for 2017/18.
If all these drivers enter at the final meeting, we will have the following scenario with points, calculated after entry points have already been distributed. If some drivers don't enter this will obviously alter the number of potential drivers still in the hunt:

It was a record breaking night at Sunline Speedway on Saturday Night, with a fast track producing 18 records that were either set or broken (some several times) during the meeting.
Junior Sedans competed for points towards their Track Championship as well as the Robert Gwynne Memorial with 11 drivers competing over 3 heats of 8 laps and a 15 lap feature. This Saturday night, Sunline Speedway gets set to shine for the 2nd to last time for the 2017/18 season, with a huge program on the cards.

Despite the windy conditions, some great racing was seen at Sunline Speedway on Saturday night. Due to some other venues being cancelled due to rain, some extra drivers joined in, bolstering fields in several classes.

On Saturday 14th April, Sunline Speedway plays hosts to the South Australian Modified Sedan Title, with local drivers having to battle against drivers entered from Victoria and Western Australia to claim the SA #1.
Whilst the focus will be on the Title, the support classes are just as exciting. Junior Sedans will be contesting Round 3 of their Track Championship as well as Round 1 of the Robert Gwynne Memorial, with Street Stocks and Modlites rounding out a great program.Read Full Post »

With 7 classes on offer, plenty of thrills and spills were witnessed by the large crowd at Sunline Speedway on Sunday night.
V6 Sprints were contesting the final night of their 2 night King of the Riverland series. Initially, it looked like being a quick end to the series when 7 of the 9 cars failed to finish the first heat race, mostly due to drivers trying to win the race at Turn 1. Sunday 11th March sees Sunine Speedway hold its second meeting of the 2017/18 season. After a successful start to the season, Promoters are looking at another great crowd to witness 7 classes on the program.

Sunline Speedway played host to its biggest crowd in years, with an estimated 1500 people in attendance for Opening Night of the 2017/18 season.
Headlining the night was Round 9 of the Australian All Stars Sprintcar Series with 16 drivers taking on Sunlines tight confines. Tough-As Products Grand Champion
Sunline Speedway, in conjunction with Tough-As Products, are proud to announce the creation of a new Track Championship for the 2017/18 season. However, this Track Championship will be unlike any other, with all drivers competing to be crowned the Grand Champion of Sunline Speedway.

After a long off season, Sunline Speedway is all set to host Opening Night of the 2017/18 season on Saturday 17th February. After a successful debut at the Venue last season, the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers Australian Sprintcar All Stars return, competing in round 9 of the 11 round series. Sunline Speedway will be holding a practice day this Saturday, 7th October between 11am and 5pm. Cost is $30 per car, which must be registered and drivers must have a licence. Sunline Speedway concluded the 2016/17 speedway season with an action packed meeting on Sunday, with the meeting beginning under beautiful sunshine and concluding under lights.
